Sorry, don’t have ride options as I am in the Phoenix area for the winter. I do have a question: How did you get the extra license plate for your carrier? From the front of your vehicle? DOT sell you an extra plate? I do the same type of extended mount, but have transplanted my rear plate.

I ride the loop all the time on different E bikes and I have never had a problem and honestly now 30 to 40% of the bikes on the loop are electric

If anyone ever gets a ticket let me know but I have never had a problem or seen any kind of enforcement on here, the road bikers are way faster than I am

If you’re coming to the Las Vegas area the River Mountains Trail is PRIMO! No cars.
And Red Rock Canyon although not dedicated bike trail.
And there are many many other routes in the Las Vegas valley. Pull up Google maps and be sure “biking” is checked and you’ll see a LOT of green depicting bike trail/paths/routes and….

I made my own plate that says “bicycle carrier duplicate” on the bottom. The local notary called the state for approval.

In AZ you can order a replacement plate for a small fee, i.e., $5. Mine even came with the current registration decal. Check your MVD website to see if you can order one.

Thanks, great idea

I can't help with the bike trails but I would stay south of I-40 b/c of the weather. I just returned to PA from Phoenix and even north Texas caught some bad weather. Besides 40 is full of semi trucks.

Oh Boy. Our route is I-70 to St Louis, I-44 to Oklahoma City the I-40 to Flagstaff. We will ride in Albuquerque, South rim of the Grand Canyon the Death Valley. We usually take I-40 then head south to I-10 but this year we want to avoid LA.

IF you can, avoid dallas ft worth entirely by going down to San Antonio. Crossing Midland / Odessa going west was bleak and unpleasant, but not full of trucks a month ago, and winter hadn't really taken hold then.
I wouid avoid Flagstaff entirely in the winter. I can see it in the spring or fall on a return trip. I don't live out west, so maybe I'm being too cautious, but I was following a snow plow on a only one open lane, no turnaround road for 20 miles just north of Las Cruces in early January.
