I added a Himiway Cobra Pro with a 4.8" fat tires, +90lbs, and little under a 53" wheelbase. The spouse has a Radcity with 2.3" tires, +70lbs, and 44" wheel base. I researched 2" platform racks and narrowed down to 1UP and QuikRStuff Mach 2. The 1Up rack is very similar to the QuikRStuff; but, with improvements in areas I liked for my needs. I used the QuikRStuff rack when I purchased the Cobra Pro in Denver and drove to ABQ, NM, with zero issues (cruise control set to 80 mph).
Advantages:
- One tray: 120lbs total, two trays: 240lbs total, three trays: 300lbs total, 4 trays: 185lbs total
- lightweight aluminum rack: hitch rack: 31lbs and each attachment rack: 23lbs
- no tools needed to install and uninstall
- no tools needed to adjust for different wheelbases or tire sizes
- folds for easy storage in trunk/hatch or corner of the garage
- my 4'11" spouse can install the hitch and additional racks because of the lightweight
- license plate holder, wheel locks, and ramp option
- rack is designed to handle up to 5" fat tires, 12"-29" wheel sizes, and 22"-56" wheelbases with no tool needed for adjustments
Disadvantages:
- price of $700 for one rack and $550 for each additional rack up to 4
- long wait time of 2 months for delivery (charge card payment taken out at time of purchase)
- no option for lights (I added Velcro and Curt 53201 Aux 4 way lights and connect to my hitch harness)
- no clamp on down tube
- you might need to adjust the arms on the tires for bikes with fenders (some add pool noodles for clamping on top of fenders).
