Looking for a Lightweight Folder

Hi there. I own a small airplane and have a Zizzo Euromini Ubano (non-electric) bike that I carry with me in the plane sometimes. It's a great little bike for the money and only weighs 27 lbs. It was cheap too ~ $350.

I'm now looking to go electric. Went to our local bike shop and rode a couple the best of which was a Tern Vectron S10. I really liked it but the price is steep at $3,700 and it weighs 47 lbs.

I talked to Bike Friday and they seem to make good bikes which are lighter but they are delivering in October now.

Considered the Green Bike Carbon but some of their feedback is not too great.

Another issue I'm dealing with is how much I will use the bike. I'm very leery of using it for regular in-town transportation. I live in a city with very few protected bike lanes and a year ago I watched a bicyclist die on the street one block away after she got run over by an SUV. Very traumatic. If I were comfortable using the bike on a daily basis for transportation I'd get the Tern in a minute but for occasional use when flying I'm leaning toward something smaller and less expensive.

Looking forward to hearing from this experienced community.

Lenny (Crazy Lenny's E-Bikes) posted on another thread that he was putting the Magnum folding e-bikes on blow-out sale 'to make room for incoming inventory.'

$900 plus shipping (normally $200, but you can see what you could work out.) Not 'light' at 48#, but maybe light enough for your use? I believe that Magnum bikes generally have a good reputation.

Court did a review on them:

P.S.: I've purchased 3 e-bikes in 2020 from Crazy Lenny in 3 separate transactions. Every transaction has been perfect. I believe that this shop removes bikes from their shipping carton prior to shipment to the customer (in my case all the way to California), tunes them or verifies functionality, adds padding/protective materials and re-boxes for shipment. All bikes have been received in excellent functional and cosmetic condition.

Well, I've ordered a Bike Friday World Traveler with electric pedal assist. It's a light bike that can carry a lot of gear. It will be ready in .... October. In the meantime, I bought a Green Bike Carbon for my wife. I couldn't find much about them online so I took a chance. The bike didn't come with an instruction manual and I'm having trouble with the frame latch. I just put in an email request for assistance so we'll see. If anyone has one of these bikes, I'd appreciate any advice.
