Yes, they have a flurry of interest now and then, even knocking them off, but it never lasts more than a few weeks before the inevitable approach of..be aware while using your phone.. which clearly means

Its your own fault.

This is having such a negative effect on ebiking as the press always muddys the water between ebikes and electric motorbikes.

Of course, it's just a fantasy. Lots of affluent early teens on Surrons and the like here. Imagine the lawsuits in the US— regardless of what little Johnny was doing.

The parents' phones for sure. But pity the cop who tries to confiscate a 15 year old's phone without pre-authorization for lethal force.

The video about the London cops bumping off mopeds came out 5 years ago, so I suppose they don't do that anymore. Bummer.

The law was changed in 2017, allowing police to ram thieves on scooters and electric bikes. They are still trained and do perform this sort of pursuit. There just isn't the shock factor for it to be featured on the news as it once was.
