I use double nuts on the geared hub motor to prevent it from walking out of the fork. Never moves. One nut has to be thinned out to fit on the thread. Those of you that have used 8" crescent wrenches know they are too thick to fit the inner nut. I've been carrying a 7/8" combo wrench to change the tube on the road if a flat occurs, which weighs almost 2 pounds. Blackhawk. Recently when the electricity failed in the rain I had to pedal 154 lb bike+cargo up several 15% grades, taking 30% longer than I usually do. Some changes should be made.
So I've been cruising ebay, and the price of non-sparking wrenches is $180 up. But Tuesday a 22 mm Ampco open end wrench showed up for $19. Beryllium copper. Secret search term is "non-sparking wrench".
Arrived today. Weighs about 1/2 pound. PIty I took the motor+battery off already to save 13 lb on the next trip. But the electrons will ride again! When some parts come in.
