Lightweight and compact TQ ebike drive could make eRoad bikes ‘actually’ good

The legal cut-off of pedal assistance at 25 kmh can’t be changed… and every road rider will tell you that this is too slow. But what can be changed is the weight and form factor and this is precisely why TQ attracted so much attention. The Canyon Endurance:ONfly Sub-10 roadbike on display features a carbon fiber frame, total weight of 9.8kg including the TQ HPR40 drive system with a 40Nm, 200W motor. The total system weight of the drive system is 2.7 kg which puts the rest of the bike (minus the drive) at 7.1kg.
