I love that idea as China has some truly beautiful areas BUT...I worked for a company that did lots of business in China. The one thing that almost always happened (even around 2005-2009) was that my friends/co-workers who went over there for a week or longer got sick...some got extremely sick.
I’d much rather go to New Zealand again though that’s a REALLY LONG plane ride!

Oh, Jeez Dallant, lets put on our big boy pants and go do it. So you get a tad sick. Our inspections and dinners will be closely monitored by Flat 6 and Sierra Tim. (and the guys I hire) We will be fine.

It would be so cool to go see the Chinese ebike manufacturing spots. Everybody is freaked out about travel. Lets go see where our bikes are made.

I’m with you on that. Hell I tried to get a Trek factory tour in Wisconsin recently and they had suspended them. I can only imagine what it would take these days to actually fly to China and get into a factory.
Sprogette 1 did a school trip to china , imagine the poor teachers taking 20 + small town country Australian teenagers and landing in Bejing. Most of these kids had never seen air pollution and they consider 5 people a crowd. At one stage, they went to a " small country school" that had twice as many students as the population of our town!
Sprogette 2 was scheduled to go in March 2020 .....
Yeah, good luck getting into ( and then out of) china...or new zealand at the moment!

My work will send someone to China for 2-4 weeks, I pass every time. Same with Brazil. No thanks. I don't like the idea of travelling overseas. I seem to loose more of my "adventure spirit" as I get older. Drove 18-wheelers for a few years and got to see the USA (except FL), Canada and Mexico. That was enough traveling for me! Have fun if you do go for it though. Airfare is at a all time bargain right now, as is motel rates.
Yup. A trip to The Netherlands would be nice. That's where my bike is from.
