Lectric ebike or similiar?

I am probably going to purchase an ebike from LECTRIC for my wife and myself. It will be for very casual rides in our neighborhood and possibly on calm paths/sidewalks by the beach in south Florida.
The style of bike has been decided. Are there any suggestions of other brands of ebikes in this category. I know with Lectric, it is a inexpensive bike with very good customer support. Yes I know they've only been in business a short amount of time but that doesn't scare me. Any suggestions about other brands selling this style of bike would be appreciated.

My Ecotric is less money, and from what I see on the facebrook groups, customer support seems to try hard, and they have a wider selection of bike stules. However, in this fat tire style, the Lectric is a generation ahead with the battery in the frame. The Ecotric is still using 2015 era silverfish packs that drop in behind the seat. It's readily available though, and not an expensive pack. Mine was $779 shipped thru amazon, and they didn't charge me tax.

On the other hand, I'd be dead in the water, without 20 years experience fixing my cars and some ebike experience putting motors on regular bikes. There were some minor issues that would have been show stoppers.

Can't say for sure but their folder sure seems similar, as far as frame, to the Ecotric 20" fat tire folder. My wife loves her Dolphin. Its 36v 500w and works well in Fl and the Asheville area. They are responsive but not hand holders as far as customer service. They run about $900.

Sorry Harry, you beat me to a worthy recommendation. I agree, self sufficient is the way to own a web based eBike. The companies provide email only contact for a reason although Ecotric has responded to any inquires I have sent them.

If you want a 20 inch wheel folder with hub motor looks good. Good price for what you get.

Where did you find the Lectric on Amazon? (not seeing it myself)
And what problems required fixing?

Jmoto - speaking only to my Ecotric, which was on amazon, as well as on walmart.com. You have to buy Lectric from Lectric. One advantage of buying an Ecotric on walmart appears to be better warranty support. Although the parts come from the seller, he probably signed a contact to provide solid service.

My Ecotric issue is that the controller compartment isn't well sealed. I got water inside, and it got into the electronics. I was able to catch the problem and dry it out, but another 15 minutes and it would have fried the circuits. I heard it sizzling. On the facebrook group, I saw this has happened to other owners,

Harry, does sealing those control box spaces with silicone seal help? My wife has the Dolphin folder and I worry about that.
