Latch 4000 mile update

After 2.5 years and 4000 miles. I’m extremely satisfied with the bike. Had some issues at 1000 miles with a squeaky belt and clunky internal hub, but Pedego customer service was quick to solve those problems. I’ve folded and unfolded the bike about 100 times with no issues. The only think I did to the bike was to replace the seat post with a suspension seat post. That made a huge difference in the ride quality. Ed

That's great to hear. We have a latch as our "guest" ebike. It isn't heavily used, but I'm glad to hear your happy story! Our high miles Pedegos are my Interceptor (4,000 miles) and my H's City Commuter (6,000 miles!)

During the pandemic, it hard to keep active, but I found a way, and the Latch was central to that effort. Most mornings, this summer, I would fold the latch, throw into the trunk of my car, and head for one the numerous river bike trails that we have here in Chicago. Once there, Lady, my dog, and I would ride about 10 miles through the forested trails. The latch is perfect for that. It folds and unfold easily and its light enough for a 76 year old, like me, to easily get it in and out of my trunk. I prefer that than using bike racks. They are expensive and I would need three for my three cars. Now that cold weather is here, Lady and I are still riding around the neighborhood twice a day. The Latch is great for that too.

Love the picture! Win for you, win for Lady... awesome all around. And your point about the folder meaning *no rack* is such a good one!! :)

Ed, what suspension seat post did you replace the original post with? Thanks. I am seriously thinking of getting the Latch. Seems like a really nice foldable bike.
