Nice writeup! The packaging for that one is a helluva lot better than the packaging for my CCX which was delivered in March. Maybe because it's a heavier bike, or maybe just because it's a newer model?
The torque sensor is not as responsive as my Bosch ebikes, but you do feel an increase of assistance as you pedal harder. With a throttle on the right handle bar (Bosch mid drive motors don’t have throttles) you can always add some power if the Torque sensor is not responding to your needs. Because Bosch‘s system is mid drive and better integration of Torque/cadence/speed using high quality design they cost much more. The only draw back to the power of a hub motor is that you loose the gearing advantage that a mid drive has …more leveraged power as well as being more efficient.
The torque sensor will not snap in the power like the throttle will, it is very gradual and natural.
