joy stick will not change modes, but will read out speed, trip, battery %

I have a Specialized turbo 2014. All is good except the joy stick will not change modes, but will read out speed, battery life, trip mileage, ect..... All 4 light light up.
Any idea what the problem is?

The 2014 Turbo S is indeed equipped with a joystick as the remote.

Well that’s a new one one me! I’ve complained about the feel of buttons on single trails and gravel. A joystick has to have real issues with rough riding.
