Any idea how this bike would do on 5 to 7% grades and upgrading to bigger amp battery.

It is pretty powerful. 48V, 350W engine should have no trouble going up 7% grade with rider input.

Sometime early April, we will have the Izip manager visiting our store for a Demo day. See if you can make it.
Both Vibe + and Path + are great bikes. You can't go wrong with those.

I have a new Vibe+ - my first electric bike. There seems to be a lot of drag on the pedals when either I (a) have pedal assist turned to 0 or off, or (b) am pedalling faster than the speed the assist level helps me maintain. In order to be able to ride longer distances and get more exercise, I'm keeping the pedal assist at 0 or 1 on flat terrain, but it feels like I'm pushing a rock uphill - there's significant drag on the pedals.

Is this true of all eBikes, or something with the Vibe+? Anything I can do to correct it?

My experience is there is always drag on my ebikes because the motor has magnets which are functional even when not engaged. I am no engineer though so I could be dead wrong. But I have always experienced some drag on my pedals on my ebikes.
