I really joined this group for your very needed expert advice in my on-going DIY repairs / replacement / improvements on my 1st (very CHEAP-Walmart) Hyper E-ride 26 MTB. I purchased it at the end of last year when my 1970 (my father's old hand me down skinny tire) bike failed on the Bike Trail with a ride with my Grand KIDS. The Hyper was a great upgrade (that did not break the bank). BUT - I have made a lot of improvements and replacements since then Aug. 2021 and this year Aug. 2022 I have ridden a total of 250 miles (I have some age 76+ and arthritis issues) on Bike/Walking trails and neighborhood roadways. I have made some major changes - Seating Position to a Dutch style upright bike - hydraulic rear brake - thumb shifter. I will be looking to YOU-ALL for your expert opinions and advise. Thank you in advance, IT'S GREAT BEING A BIKER (or should that be a CYCLIST?) !!

Welcome to the forum from a fellow Pocono Mountain dweller!
You've come to the right place to ask your questions!
Looking forward to more pics of your bike and the places you ride!

Is it a 250 or 350 watt?

Some people may bash on Wal Mart ebikes but they actually hold their suppliers to a pretty high standard or they don't sell there.

I had a walmart huffy mt pedal bike all through college. Man that thing was heavy but it never once broke down on me.

Getting out with your grandkids is great and ebikes let us older folk keep up with all their energy.
