Is this an 16 HP ebike or e-motorcycle?

The official website, http://www.greyp-bikes.com/ says that deliveries have begun. You got 6500 Euros?

My thoughts exactly. For the money I think I would get this over a Stromer ST2, and even the motorcycle offerings from Zero, etc. For those kind of G's I want the associated thrills. But officer it is in street mode,.. -S

I agree... Looks like you can get off road and have some fun with that thing..6500 Euros is a bit more than an ST2
 
BTW That 1 hour 20 minute charge time is impressive too. Dual front disc would be joy.. as for the styling, I'm not strongly attracted to the unibox design but once I got it between my legs I'm sure I would get over any aesthetic shortcomings, like 6 beers down and last call.
 
The video is like a how-to guide for aggravating the general public, setting back equal access advocacy, and making a case for banning electric bikes. The bike itself is pretty interesting though. I'm not sure how the different mode limits would actually fly in terms of regulations though.... a lot of things are written in terms of motor sizes or ability to reach a certain speed. Even though it could be put in a mode that limits it to speeds like low speed electric bikes, it's hard to imagine this not being considered a motorcycle since it is still fully capable of the higher speeds.
 
I think this is a nice bike, but 16 hp, no way. It's probably more like 4-4 1/2 hp, and maybe 3500w. That'll get you 40 mph like this bike tops out at. My guess is sales haven't been that good over the last few years that this bike has been out, so they're drastically overstating the power output to attract attention, or else they're talking about little miniature Shetland pony hp. One major drawback I can see is most of the electrics appear to be in house oem stuff, so it will be hard to get parts for.

It's hard to find any evidence they've actually sold any of these bikes, because if you do a youtube search, this factory video is about the only one that turns up. I can't find any videos by an actual owner.

Yes it does. Spinning out in the dirt, jumping sidewalks, not wearing a helmet, oh my. It is amazing how quick our society will squash fun and creative opportunity when it veers outside the norm. The glass is now 3/4 empty on this bike.
If we were all given that 16kW bike, with that nice display interface, I think we would find a way to ride responsible, silently, emission free, time efficient, speed thrilled, and preferably with limited regulation. But no, that cute blonde might as well have been a red-headed poster child.

Feeling pessimistic today.
 
It's just a video, meant to be whimsical and fun, and then making fun of the guy who is obviously busy watching the blonde girl. Don't take it so seriously. They are certainly not recommending that people actually ride their bike this way, much like those car commercials that show outrageous stunts by professional drivers on a closed course are not intended to inspire the average guy or gal to attempt it (and there's wording on the car commercials in case people are too dumb to realize that).

The wording is because of lawyers, just like the contraindications we hear about in pharmaceutical commercials. Dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb (South Park).
 
I sort of doubt they're still even in business. If they are, they must not be doing very well.
About the same as eRocket. I think they might be defunct too. Stealth is killing them.
