Is there a fault with Pendleton somerby?

I bought 2 Pendleton somerby electric bikes about a month ago, for my wife and I. Both bikes have the same problem. If you stop, dismount and don’t immediately switch off the power button, then bump the front wheel over the slightest kerb or grass tuft, the bike leaps forward forcefully and unexpectedly. This has caused a few near accidents with us. I have just taken both bikes into Halfords for their 5 point check and I explained this problem to the mechanic. He said he’d never heard of such a problem in his 5 years of working on bikes. Then he tried bumping the front tyre over a tiny bump inside the shop and it jumped forward exactly as I had said. He got quite a shock. Is this normal with Pendleton Somerbys or are both my bikes faulty? None of my friends with other brands of electric bikes have ever experienced this problem.

Good afternoon
I had a similar experience and have lost some confidence with the bike
It is fairly new (2years) - did you receive any replies and found the cause of the problem? I called Halfords but they are unaware of this issue ?
Would appreciate any feedback on this
With thanks
