I purchased a new battery charger that has capability to charge from 1 amp to 5. I've always heard that slower charges are better for the battery overall. With that being the case is there anything wrong with charging the battery at 1 amp if I'm in no hurry?
I believe you're most likely correct. I typically charge at 2 amps but I was just curious if there would be an issue charging at 1 amp. That probably wouldn't be the norm with my charging, but I thought maybe there'd be someone on this forum that knows a lot about charging in general and lithium batteries.
A 2A charge is already a very slow charge, 0.11C to 0.20C charge rate for most E-bike but you can charge at 1A if you want , it will take exactly twice the time to get the same charge.
