We need to disambiguate 'controller'. A controller is the junction box and brain for a system and motor. A controller is not located on the handlebar and does not have any buttons, nor is it a display, or a user interface. It is the motor's motherboard. Here is what a controller looks like. Displays have screens, are located on the handlebar and serve as a user interface.
