I’m trying to figure out what commuter bike to get that would be a fit for both me (6’1”) and my wife (5’8”). Interested in disc brakes, step through and 2k or less. Thanks!

That’s quite a height range. I recommend you both test ride different brands. Are you ordering online or do you prefer lbs?

How about the 28" Pedego City Commuter step-thru? It would definitely work for you, maybe for your wife, if she is long-legged and short-waisted? She'd have to try and see. If you have a Pedego store near you they can let you know if they have one to try. BTW, I have no connection to Pedego except as a happy Pedego owner!

Ariel Rider C-Class new generation will be a good fit. Mid-drive, hydraulic brakes and internal hub gear. It is less than 2K.

Also you can consider folding ebikes such as Tern Vektron (price is over 2k tough)
