Well, you aren't too far from Bentonville, AR and Hot Springs, AR. Maybe not as scenic but excellent MTB trails. My son and are traveling there from Mn in April just to bike.

You could head north into Michigan. Snowmobiling in MI is a big deal and those trails are still there in good bike riding weather....

Not as familiar with Wisconsin, but thinking there's a serious amount of very nice riding available there as well.
