Healthcare insurers in the US don't help you pay, they basically just negotiate a discount over whatever price the provider decides to charge.I'd concentrate on those that charge, rather than the one that helps you pay.
As long as "the public option" doesn't involve federal tax dollars, you can have whatever makes you happy.Just add the Public Option and I'll be happy to let you have any insurance you want.
If it's so horrible.. You can continue to be the smartest guy in the room
Negotiating a discount helps me pay much less.Healthcare insurers in the US don't help you pay, they basically just negotiate a discount over whatever price the provider decides to charge.
The result is providers that inflate their prices to keep their profits high even after the discount.
You do know that United Health is vertically integrated, right? In my case, my employer offered plan is through UHC, OptumRX handles prescriptions, Optum administers our HSA account, Optum administers our company LOA program, and the clinic that most of our providers are at was recently rebranded as...wait for it.... Optum. What do you include in the "healthcare system"?
I would not include healthcare insurance
Yes. We use UHC, do not use OptumRX (although it is a choice), not sure if some of our Medicare Advantage "freebees" are connected to Optumhealth. No Optumhalth Drs. in this area. You do know that United Health is vertically integrated, right
Use of Federal Dollars wasn't the argument... It was the sinking of the insurance industry unable to compete who then added scare tactics like death panels . Remember. As long as "the public option" doesn't involve federal tax dollars, you can have whatever makes you happy.
Don't know if I'm the smartest, but apparently the least triggered.
Chuck is deep."One of Mangione’s favorite quotes, listed on Goodreads, was “It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society,” from Jiddu Krishnamurti, a religious philosopher and teacher."
Don't know what your idea of "public option" means then. Typically "public option" refers to a federal or state funded plan.Use of Federal Dollars wasn't the argument.
No idea what you are writing about. It was the sinking of the insurance industry unable to compete who then added scare tactics like death panels . Remember.
No idea what you are writing about. The insurance lobby against was massive but I am grateful that you see fit to allow it
Typical.... Righteous strong opinion yet uninformed.Don't know what your idea of "public option" means then. Typically "public option" refers to a federal or state funded plan.

I do recognize that your "thing" is bitch and moan rather than educate. Hope you have a reasonable day.Typical.... Righteous strong opinion yet uninformed.
Do your own homework as the last thing I'll do here is try to educate.
This is +10yr old information...the fact that you have no idea speaks volumes.I do recognize that your "thing" is bitch and moan rather than educate. Hope you have a reasonable day.
Thank you. Old irrelevant information. This is +10yr old information...the fact that you have no idea speaks volumes.
Remove head from Trump's _ _ _ to know more.
Not at all as it was deleted from the ACA to get the lobbied votes against and it gets proposed in each session of Congress since.Thank you. Old irrelevant information.
By the way, not a Trump fan.
I was under the impression the solution was cancel ACA, and get out of the income tax funded insurance business.Almost 15 years and the Republicans have yet to offer even a single solution other than to be 100% against any idea that's not theirs backed with fear mongering
Well the current commercial insurance landscape definitely favors the wealthy.I was under the impression the solution was cancel ACA, and get out of the income tax funded insurance business.
The federal government should not be involved in things that favor or disfavor any person, group, community, state, etc.
