Hydraulic brake question ?

I have a Moustache with hydraulic disk brake.
When it take off my front wheel, is there any danger if press by accident the brake lever?
What will happen?
On a car the caliper will push completly outward. A bit scary.

Easy fix... just put a spacer in between the disks to prevent accidental compression.

With the bike came a little red plastic star. You place these between pads if you remove wheel. I think there were 2 in box bike came in. Both bikes had them.

My Pedego bikes also came with a brake pad shim. On occasion, I've used a flat leaf feeler gauge with the proper number of leaves for a snug fit. In a pinch, you could use a folded piece of cardboard.

You could ask your local bike shop. Most bikes ship with transport spacers to prevent just this from happening. When the bikes are assembled the spacers are left over. Your LBS may have some to give away for free. Can't hurt to ask.

As soon has they are back working since all store are close because of the Covid, I will get in touch with them. Meanwhile, I saw some on Aliexpress. Only need to find the right one.

Almost any one will work... the spacers are very generic.

and if they get pushed in just use a screw driver or tire lever to push them back in. then pump your brakes till they are normal. plus when you change pads you will have to do this,
