Hub that fits Creo SL?

Hi Guys, what brand and model of hub that you know that will fit in creo sl?
These hubs seems hard to find...
12x148mm thru axle - rear
12x110mm thru axle - front

12x148 ist MTB standard, you find tons of hubs here.
12x110 you find only at "Specilized (SL?) and Focus (Fazua?) bikes, so no standard. But you can convert several better 15x110 standard MTB hubs to 12mm diameter just by changing the end caps. For example DT350/340 nd I think as well 370 hubs ar capable of this. But it's not that easy to get through the different model years of hubs and caps of each brand, I would ask a good wheel builder if he/she can recommend/sell/convert you a hub like this.

Follow up question guys, If i will use bolted type of hubs, can I use the levo speed magnet sensor on creo? Not sure the alignment..
Creo speed magnet sensor are CL type.

I assume you mean for 6 bolt disc brake hubs and the Levo SL speed sensor magnet S194200016? Looks like it may work but search the Vado SL threads and see if any Levo users have used the Creo magnet to go from six bolt to CenterLock.

the position looks similar - just inside the chainstay, around 25mm from center of axle, but you should probably ask someone with a levo SL to measure...

Unless I’m mistaken, the measurement for the Creo from the center of the axle to the center of the speed sensor magnet looks to be 20mm.

For the Levo, it's closer to 25mm.

I can’t say definitively if the difference would be out of tolerance enough to throw the Creo’s readings off or if it would even register. I suspect that it might be fine and that there should be sufficient clearance at the chain stay for the Levo magnet.

Sounds like it may not read the sensor correctly if there is a mis-match.

I've had trouble with fluctuating speed readings on my SL and it's always been fixed by cleaning the sensor area.

i’ve never had that issue but have heard of it, which leads me to believe the alignment is fairly important…. if a little dirt can disrupt it it must be looking for a pretty specific peak of the magnetism.

Easy to clean so at least that issue can be ruled out quickly. I don't see how the alignment could be off given the sensor and magnet positions are fixed.

yes, with the correct parts ;) the discussion above is about using the levo magnet holder on a creo… it’ll be misaligned by 5mm or so!

Not sure how different the spacings will be between the Creo and a Vado SL. But eyeballing the gap between the center lock SL magnet and the sensor housing appears to be < 5mm. Quick comparison between the 6 bolt Tero magnet and the SL magnet, I'd agree the 6 bolt magnet appears to be a bit further out. I think the Tero and Levo rotor/magnet distances are the same - rotor bolt pattern is standard and Spec only listed one replacement magnet set for the 6 bolt setup. If the Creo has a similar small air gap between the magnet and sensor, I'd be wary that a Levo magnet might be too big and possibly hit the sensor.

I have run wheels with both 6 bolt and CL rotor and the magnet has never been an issue. It is bolted in place by an allen key and can easy be moved if needed. With regards to wheels I use MTB Boost wheels 148 x12 rear and 15 x110 front, but with a 15mm to 12mm sleeve fitted. Done thousands of miles like this with no issues. I found an awesome set on Newmen Wheels from Germany that are sun 1300g for the pair with hookless carbon and half the price of Rovals

This....direct from Specialized....also mentioned in the Creo FAQ about tires and wheels the the Levo magnet will work when used with the 6 bolt disk mount on the Creo....Make sure you get the latest magnet....there was an earlier one that appears to place the magnet ever further away from the center....I think pre 2019.... use part # S194200016 as stated below....Got mine at Performance Bicycle for 12 bucks...

Hey there,

Thanks for reaching out to rider care. Yes, you can use the 6-bolt magnet on Creo with a custom wheel build. The proper part number is S194200016. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out.

Ride on!

Subject: Creo Magnet holder

I just purchased a Creo E5 Aluminum and having custom wheels made up. They will not be centerlock disk mounting, but rather 6 bolt disk. You have a magnet holder MY19, that looks to work on 6 bolt. Can you confirm this part will work with the Creo? I called and was told to ask my dealer / LBS……I’d like to hear from someone at Specialized that this is ok….

My custom wheels will be:

DT 350 Hybrid 36 hole (using the adapter kit on the front to go from 15mm to 12mm....110mm length).
Road Boost, i.e., 110mm x 12 front / 148mm x12 rear
Velocity Aileron rims
2.0 / 1.8 / 2.0 DT Competition double butted spokes
DT Black brass nipples with the thread lock
Continental 32mm 4 Seasons

BTW, White Industries Hubs also have available adapters to convert a 110mm x 15 to 12mm front hub........

Looking at hubs for the Creo front with the standard 12x 110mm, the choice is extremely limited. I found hubs by Bitex, Shimano, DT Swiss / Roval and Novatec. There was a a complete lack of high end hubs as I could not find hubs such as DT Swiss 240 in the right size for example. That is why I use the 15mm to 12mm sleeve on a 110mm x 15mm hub, so I can use high end
