Hub and Crank Bearings.

Been riding bikes for years and for me one of the most important components to a good bike is bearings for performance and longevity. Can any one confirm there is a difference in the quality of bearings used in a $800 E-bike to a $5,000 E-bike?
Thanks Glen

I have 2 original 2015 model year Sondors fat bikes. They have free bearings in the front axle and pedals. They sold for $499 on Indiegogo. I also have 2, 2016 model year Haibikes. They have sealed ball bearings.

I took apart a $189 48vLY1000 direct drive hub to examine the source of drag. It contained sealed ball bearings, which were not thrust bearings. I don't know about the quality but they were a common size & number available on order from the auto supply. The ones from the auto supply I have used for lawnmower spindles, so they are extremely heavy duty.

Thanks indianajo,
I have taken so many china made acoustic bikes apart and found sub-par bearings with little to no grease packed inside. Was curious if this standard practice applies to a lot of the China made E-bikes.
