How to switch off my superdelite HS lights?

I would get a ton of complaints on multi-use paths. I’m fine with not having it on all the time. There’s no “right” way IMO.
The world is so varied... Approximately half of Polish cyclists use external lights riding the MUPs on their own will. They are seen (also in the daytime) and it is an important safety factor. (I'm not sure if it is typical for the U.S. to drive with the lights on all day round but it is so in Europe so cyclists are aware how being seen is important for the safety).

Same in Australia, me included

I was surprised to see a countryside granny riding a perfectly lit bike on my today's ride. Such people ride beaten bikes because they just need to get from A to B and back to A, yet she had really good lights.!

To switch off your Superdelight front light, (only when not cycling on any EU roads) do the following:

1. While holding down the light dim switch...
2. Switch on the Kiox
3. Wait for the light to flash
4. Release the dim switch

From now on you will have to use the dim switch to switch on the light. It still retails low/high beam functionality.

Thank you for posting this. I could not figure out how to turn the lights off. I followed your steps. After doing this my lights started blinking every time I turn the Kiox on. I removed the Kiox, waited 30 seconds before placing it back in the bike. When I turned on the Kiox I was able to turn the lights on and off with no issue using the handlebar button. Works great and your reply resolved my full time light issue with the R&M. I am not sure why removing the Kiox from the bike stopped the lights from blinking.

Tried doing this, I even removed the kiox for the amount of time recommended. When I reconnected the kiox it reverted back to the default mode of always on and a high beam.

This is the technique I used successfully.

Front M99 MINI PRO-25 - Changing the Mode

1. To enter the programming mode, hold down the high beam switch while switching on the E-Bike. After approx. 3 seconds the low beam flashes 3 times. Now release the high beam switch.

2. Now you can switch between the following modes by briefly pressing the high beam switch: A. Manual mode (indicated by switched off light in programming mode): In this mode, the front light is switched on after having started the E-Bike by briefly pressing the high beam switch. It can be switched off by holding the switch for 2 seconds or by switching off the E-Bike. B. The automatic mode is set by default (indicated by pulsating light in programming mode): If this mode is selected, the front light switches on automatically when voltage is applied.

3. To exit the programming mode, simply switch off the E-Bike. At the next start, the last selected mode is activated.

After that I never use the light switch on the Kiox/Nyon. Press light beam switch to turn on. Subsequent presses switch between high and low beam. Long press turns off.

Cheers
