John I think the industry language is misleading owners.
When they discuss battery life in terms of charge cycles, they are referring to FULL charge cycles i.e. From 100% to the low voltage cutoff.
There are plenty of charts that demonstrate shallow charge cycles increase battery life. The Chevy volt for instance is charged only to 85% and the engine recharges the battery pack to keep it above 25%. The Volt only uses 60% of its capacity, and it comes with a 10 year warranty
So u should charge your battery every day that u use it. And if you can time it, only charge it to 95%.
