HNF Heisenberg XF1 Fullsuspension eBike - Review?

Hi,

Been watching a lot of your videos lately, looking at buying a new ebike and through research came across the HNF Heisenberg XF1 Fullsuspension eBike which I found to be interesting.

Is there any chance of getting a review on this bike?

Are there any negatives with this bike? I liked the belt drive system, not sure of the technical name for the hub gear system but the fact it's enclosed seems like a good idea.

Any alternatives to this bike? been looking at a lot of Haibikes but nothing seems to come with the hub gear system, budget can be up to ~12k USD, higher if there's a reason to spend more.

Use of the bike will be riding to work and back ~10-15km a day, but also taking it on some mountain bike tracks.

This bike isn't sold in the US, won't be seeing a review here until that happens.

^^^ good luck with that, nobody is going to import a 25kmh European bike to the US.

Well I live in AU... only real option for me is to import from somewhere as electric bikes here seem to be very limited, in fact nothing at all in my state.

Granted there appears to be no chance to obtain a review on this bike, can anyone comment on how well the drive train would hold up, is the hub gear system a maintenance free system? how often do you need to change the belt?

What's the running gear on the bike like, is it high end, medium, in other words would I be paying for a concept or is the equipment worth it.

It's new, beautiful and probably technologically advanced. I posted on this bike when it hit the press last summer.

I included some links in the thread, but I suspect you've read them already. I don't know more than what I've read and I covet that bike. It's so new and possibly groundbreaking you're likely to get either a sales pitch or opinions for it.

To generally attempt an answer to 2 of your questions; all geared motors will need service at some point and Harley-Davidson has been using these type of final drive belts (larger of course) for 25 years, I've never gotten less than 50,000 miles on a H-D belt.

Let us know what you find out! Do post pics if you buy one.

Thanks for the response, yeah I had a good read of your post and the links.

My questioning is around if the bikes worth ~9500USD with the current components on the bike, I've been away from bikes too long to know what brands are good and what level of components I should expect for my money. It's extremely hard to compare bikes as they all run different equipment.

So on a ~9500 USD bike would you expect

• Magura MT7 brakes
• Rohloff Speedhub (is this a quality speedhub)
  
• Rock-Shox Pike RC 140mm
  
• Rock Shox Monarch Plus RC3
  
• Bosch Intuvia (Personally I would have thought Bosch Nyon at this price)
• Bosch 400Wh battery (Would have expected the new 500Wh battery)
• Bosch LUMOTEC IQ Avy (seems like an average light)

Guess my other concerns are the battery placement, pointing down towards the ground on the underside of the bike doesn't seem like that great of an idea to me, and the fact they didn't route all of the cabling internally, running it externally over the frame detracts from the bike IMO (minor issue)

I'm very tempted to buy the bike, but even that presents a challenge as it would need to be sent over to AU right now my options for support if buying locally would be from brands such as Haibike, Easy motion, KTM and Scott.

Those models are limited though, and almost have a 50% markup from what you guys are paying even after the currency conversion

Ouch yeah I looked at the prices for Melbourne electric cycles, if those are your prices you are getting gouged like crazy. If you could import from the US you'd save a couple grand on a mid range haibike even at full retail. If I told you what we paid for my wife and my sduro sl haibikes I might make you cry!

Yup the 50% is on top of the full RRP USA list price

Although not quiet a 50%^difference using the 2015 HAIBIKE XDURO DWNHLL PRO as an example it's ~$16k AUD and when US full list price is converted it's under ~12k AUD

I appreciate it's a smaller market here so less sales and I'd like to support my local bike shop but not get screwed totally in the process.

Has anyone here actually purchased this bike? I'm interested in how its magical rear suspension works and cannot seem to find any materials showing its actual operation. Something tells me nobody bought the bike, could explain why the company got merged with Nicolai.

Whoa, the motor assembly actually moves. Innovative, sure, I just wonder how reliable this approach is.
That said, what I'd really like to see is a user review video, not marketing material nor someone's ride. I want Court's type of video with actual close-ups and whatnot. The lack of such material online suggests that not a lot of people bought this bike.
