Hi there! I just recently bought my first ebike, http://whitebikes.no/sykler/xc-e-pro-275-steps-8000-18/. Probably not a brand any of you know, and probably in the lower end, but it came with a Shimano E8000 system and I got it at a substantially lower price than advertised. I live in a very mountainous area (Jotunheimen range), but will mostly use the bike for commuting 5 km/100m elevation. It does, however, inspire longer trips on gravel/dirt roads in the mountains.

Thanks for all the knowledge in this forum. I have been reading quite a few threads.

I'm still looking for a luggage racks that fits the eyelets on the frame, by the way, like the ones found on Teo Fat Bikes and iGo ebikes: Luggage rack. The ones for sale in Norway are not available at the moment. Would be grateful if anyone knew a source for similar, or which brands supply them.

Hello and Welcome

What are the bike lanes, paths and trails like in your part of the world? I would love to see some photos of of that type of infrastructure.

There are a lot of old countryside roads and gravel roads, but also some trails for bicycles especially in forest areas close to the cities. Where I live, close to the mountains, there are old roads for the pastures etc and also lots of paths in the mountains. Although we have very strict rules, and maybe a strict morale, regarding vehicles in the mountains and wild, more and more people are using their trail bikes and e-bikes on paths originally for hiking (or animals). But there is a restrictive attitude. I both like and dislike this ;-)
