I am starting from scratch, typically 6-7 months of snow on the ground here, so been thinking about a Dengfu E56 fat bike build.

In my opinion they are too heavy. Shedding pounds will allow for a smaller battery, lighter weight motor, lighter wheels and tires. It will also allow for smaller brakes and better handling. All with the same range.

Always trade offs, but narrow tire will have a hard time climbing a snow covered hill around here in winter...

Got it. I saw the snow this year at 1,000 feet. I didn't consider that. Here is one of my bike builds.

nice, I may just go with a non electric fat bike for a winter trainer. The upcoming m610 motor has my attention lately, and sereously concidering FLX Weapon X
 
Wow! I happen to have an M600 in my workshop today. At 120 Nm it sheered the cassette in two. Gears 1-4 separated from 5-11. 5-11 just spun. It is an XD free hub body.
 
BBSHD builds and the newest high-power series can destroy a chainstay and suspension. One needs to seriously investigate the choices. Builders that destroy bikes seldom post the fiasco.
 
Good point, eveytime I start down the m620 build road, I am slaped with the reality of future maintainance cost.
 
M600's destroy hubs too. Sometimes a little less it a lot more. It is not just about Godzilla spec sheet numbers and more about balance.
