Hello

Does anyone have a new ST1. I have a new 2021 ST1. I’m looking to see if your experience is similar to mine. Going up a hill is tough. The bike doesn’t seem to assist much at all. It’s a tough ride. Is this normal? Yes I’ve recalibrated the torque sensors several times while sitting on the bike without touching the pedals. I had some errors but after removing the battery and restarting they are gone now. I’m not sure what to do with the bike.

I’ve calculated this hill to be a 7% grade.

I think there's a bit too much variable.

Going up hill - exactly how much grade of uphill are you talking about?
Tough - exactly how tough is it? Because it's a bit subjective.

Also direct drive isn't the best for going uphill.
Hi

I had a stromer St1 v1 for 6 years. It took me up the same hill much easier. I got into the service controls of my new st1 for boost. I think boost will give you up to 12mph when pressed. I’m not sure how to turn boost on other than via service menu. Any way when I used boost I was able to ride up the hill much easier. Since I heard boost only assists up to 12mph. I assume if the bike was working properly it could help me much more.

I was trying to figure the grade on this hill but don’t know it.

If I ride with some effort and no boost up this hill I’m doing about 5mph. If I put everything I’ve got into it standing up I can get 10mph. My st1 v1 used to take me up steeper hills after the battery was low at 14/15 mph seated.

On a ride with my wife I let my wife try the bike and she gave it back. Thought it was too hard to ride up a mild hill.

Probably need to untighten the thruaxle by 1 maybe 2NM , Sounds like it is too tight and that results in the torque sensor value being too low.

There's no use to go into the OMNI to adjust the torque sensor voltage if you had tighten up the thruaxle over the specs. Your voltage for the TMM4 is probably 0.6 or maybe 0.7; That's why , it's not picking up your input.
Thank you
