Hi Everyone,
This is a great forum, and I've enjoyed reading Court's reviews. Just over a year ago, I installed a Luna Cycle (Bafang) mid-drive motor on a Trek hybrid. Since then, I've put on many miles and upgraded the tires, chain ring, handlebars, pedals, and saddle. Now I'm in love:

I've gone as far as 70 miles on a single charge, but usually I do 20-30 mile jaunts around the hilly countryside where I live. Viva La E-Bikes!

How are the brakes with your setup? I figured disc brakes were almost a necessity with the higher speed of an e-bike. I'd love to hear that your setup is working fine.

Apart from new brake pads, I'm using the brakes that came with the bike. They are "linear-pull" brakes, which can exert more force on the rims than caliper brakes (or so I read).
Anyway, I've had no problems stopping with them, even from 40+ mph. I did not install the motor cutoff switches in the brake levers, since the motor only runs when I'm pedaling.
