Great riding weather here 8 months out of every year. I just purchased a Pedego City Commuter Lite. Awesome eMachine !!

Looking for advice as to where I can purchase a decent 36V, 15Ah, 750 watt battery I can use for backup.

Nice looking bike. That's my next upgrade, going from a frame mounted battery to one on the rear rack for the stealth look. I'm moving from New Mexico back to Tucson in a couple of weeks, so shoot me a line sometime and we can go out riding for coffee or something. I agree, Tucson has good riding weather, but the summer months are definitely oven-like. Steve

That could be a bad move. My bike fell over on the side stand from the weight of the battery (7 lbs) and my gym bag (4.6 lbs). I've raced motorcycles all my life and I can tell ya this bike is way too top heavy and dangerous if you have to make a sharp turn to get out of trouble. It would be much better with 26" wheels and wider tires but the Peddle Pushers at Pedego will void the warranty if I do.

I recently purchased some hay burner (horse) saddlebags that lay on the axle to lower the center of gravity and put a 4 lb dive weight on the water bottle holder to prevent future fall overs.

Also, the claim that this bike will get 45 miles on a charge is fantasy. The most I've ever gotten is 27 miles.

Let me know when you get here and I'll show you some nice trails. I also have a Motobecane 700DS mountain bike.

Wayne
