Hi all!
We bought two RAD ROVERS after looking into lots of options including DIY. I know it is exhausting if you are deep in the rabbit hole researching, been there, be sure to come up for fresh perspectives like "Hey, do I really want to put this much time and effort ordering and re ordering parts when I can make a call and have a 700 watt bike here that I can enjoy next week?" After hundreds of dollars spent on rental bikes nothing was more zippy, comfy and easy than the RAD.
The fat tires make marshmallows out of street bumps, the watts-wow, we both zip up the steepest hills in town.. the price $1499, we bought 2 and got $200 off.... and that beauty of a bell. The frame might be a tad big for me in hindsight of ordering just yesterday but I'm accessorizing it to fit better and it'll do just fine. (If you need to know about this, just ask) Also saving money on getting racks off internet etc rather than RAD's . We ordered our Rads are expected here Wednesday. YAY!
We are semi-old farts ages 56 and 68. I'm the 56yr old 5'2" 135lbs He's 6'1 225 lbs. I'm giving details here in case someone is searching and wants to know more info to help decision making.
I have been reading a lot of great discussions here and it is a pleasure. Thank you all for being so kind and generous with your time and knowledge with one another as it really makes it an enjoyable time spent. See you on the roads, beep beep, ring ring. Oh- If you have me send you a referral link, or have any friend of yours do so, you both will get a $50 Amazon gift card ... but if you buy 2 and get the $200 off, only your friend that refers you will get the card ,RAD doesn't "stack special offers" ... in any case, happy hunting

A friend had his boat hauled out in PT and during a visit I rode my eBike all over the area. Great riding there and enough hills to warrant the assist for sure! Have fun with them.

I love that you rode all over. It is a great way to see our unusual town. We live atop one of those hills :) Our Maiden ride will be to take the ferry over to Whidbey Island and ride to Pie in Greenbank :)

I went up and down each one to gawk at the great houses and wonders on the hill. Took the trail south from the Harbor and west to it's end also. The power line climb on the south end was pretty steep but I made it!
