I am totally new to ebiking, I have to be honest that I haven’t even ridden one yet. I have spent a fair of time on regular bikes throughout my years.

E-bikes came onto my radar about a month ago and have enjoyed watching reviews and reading posts on this forum. I have learned quite a bit from your experiences.

I have come to the conclusion that before I decide on a brand of bike I should test ride. I should test ride a few bikes with different brand motors to get some personal insight on what would fit my riding style before zeroing on any bike brands.

Thanks for sharing all of your experiences.

Test rides are critical in narrowing your search and making a good decision. Welcome to the forum and to the wonderful world of ebiking.

EIght weeks from now. The text in the preview says 2019 because they're showcasing last year's event, but the website implies there's a repeat event this year.

Thanks for the link, I will check it out.

That looks like a great event! I am tempted to go myself … just a 4 hour drive for me and I have a daughter in the Twin Cities that I can stay with. But the last thing I need is to tempt myself to buy another ebike 🤔

I attended the 2019 event and was able to test ride a variety of ebikes. Of course because it’s inside, it’s not possible to test ride on any hills. However, it was very interesting to see the many different models. And there’s some fun free stuff!

A big welcome to you WinterKill, nice to have you. Take your time and get as much information as you can. No one size fits all, sort of speak. Take as many test rides as you can and understand what YOUR priorities are. You don’t want to make a purchase in haste and then find out that it doesn’t really fit your needs. Resales will generally cost you big time. Most of all, ride safe.
