Hi All. I have been watching Court's reviews on e-bikes for over three years now, and I find them very well done and quite informative. I have had a Prodeco Mariner (2011 version) since 2017. It is a front 250 watt driven throttle only 20 inch folding bike that I enjoy a lot. Looking at buying another soon so I can get my wife back into biking. I like folders due to the ease of transport and light weight, and do not find them uncomfortable despite being 6'2" and 195 lbs. I live in southern Delaware, which has made amazing progress in becoming bike-friendly over the past five years. Hope to get more insights from other users here in the forums!

Glad your bike has served you well. Glad Delaware has made pedal transport more easy.
My state has been busy turning rail lines into house plots and paving & painting over bike lanes for more car lanes.

Welcome to the forum! Lotsa friendly folks here, the best. Southern Delaware is dear to my heart having spent 4 years at the Indian River Inlet Coast Guard Station back in the mid-1980's, when Rehoboth was but a two lane north and southbound roadway to either Lewes or Bethany Beach.

I had a chance to take my Haibike Full FatSix down to Cape Henlopen State Park and from there, pedaled down to Ocean City, MD and back. Very impressed with the bike lanes on Route 1, from Lewes all the way down to OC. This was done back in October, before the weather turned cold and we still had more hours of daylight in which to bike in.

I rode my Vektron from “Western shore” to Eastern shore. After a couple of miles on the other side, the Bosch range estimate jumped from 8x miles in ECO mode to 117 miles, It’s like riding in the Netherlands.

dblhelix - Yep. Not much on hills in southern Delaware. The only impediment to easy biking is the wind. There is a plan to have good bike paths that connect the state top to bottom and side to side.

I love the specs on the Vektron Q9. It is my dream bike, that or the Evelo Quest Max, but I just can't justify the price when I only ride a couple hundred miles per year. What are your thoughts on the Vektron brand?

Hi Mike! I spend a bit of time near the Coast Guard Station as my wife is an avid birder and watches them a lot by the inlet. I also had an early camping trip at the north side of the inlet in my early youth. Beautiful area. I also regularly bike the Cape Henlopen trail, connecting to Rehoboth Beach in a 15 mile loop during the warmer months. The state is also connecting that park to Georgetown Delaware, using the old rail bed.

The bike paths here set along the major roads have become a bit controversial lately as we have had a rash of accidents this year. They are adding a number of new trails that are set apart from roads, which is certainly safer.
