My Riese & Muller Load 60 Vario arrived 3 days ago. The CVT is taking me a while to get used to but I am getting there. I think the key is to spin at a uniform cadence and SLOWLY adjust the twist controller as the terrain changes, aiming to again keep the cadence uniform. Basically let the bike do the hard yards and just spin.
I so wish the HS version was available here, the assist cutoff at 25 kph just seems cruel ... I wanna go faster!
Anyhow, I am very happy I took the plunge and bought this thing. As a retired IT guy I can see myself using it instead of the car 90+% of the time.
Now, does anybody have any advice on getting my dog used to riding upfront? I have a Shetland Sheepdog who is prone to getting irrationally terrified of the most mundane things. She will sit in it if I put here there - but just looks horrified the whole time. I so want to take her for a ride but I need to do this right or she'll never do it.
Look forward to chatting and exchanging DIY ideas with fellow electric bikers.
