Has anyone replaced the lower bike stand with a double leg kickstand?

Just received my bike a week ago and doing mods already. Has anyone sawed off the bottom bracket that holds the bike upright while folded, and installed a double leg kickstand? Here are some pics..

There is a hole near the lower suspension arm.. right in front of the rear wheel where you can mount the center stand. I was thinking of going to a center stand setup

For me... I’d keep the bracket as is

I noticed it on my bike and started scratching my head. I’m wondering why it’s not being used and if it has anything to do with the weight distribution. Seems weird having something so rigid at the bottom of the bike that can catch rocks and gravel. That happens a lot with the stock rear suspension (I’m 6’, 250 lbs riding trails).

the name brand of that one has a tendency to break. so I sent it back before I installed .it. this guy can handle 150 pounds and you don't have to lift the bike just pull it back and push it forward.

I'm using the single kickstand that mounts in the middle of the frame, but I would only use it on a lighter framed bike. The Wallke is way too heavy IMO for a single middle-mount kickstand. Plus the one that comes on the Wallke X3 is actually more beefy & sturdy than what's available on Amazon. Plus, if you remove the kickstand on the Wallke then the bracket is still there and it looks weird without the kickstand connected to it, since it's part of the frame and you can't remove it or cut it off.

I don’t plan on removing the single kickstand, just adding a double kick stand where your single kickstand is pictured . It’s the U shaped bracket at the bottom I wanna take a hacksaw to.

Its there to balance the bike once the bike is folded in 2 ,but like you say when you are on trails it catches everything ,but don't worry after plowing through some fallen tree stumps that clunk of metal will fold right back .shouldn't bother you anymore ,but yeah i will eventually cut it off and paint over the exposed area .

Not tried it myself, but I think it doesn't work.

I've got a BV double leg foldable kickstand, centre mounted and it works fine on my heavy bike. Only problem is because it folds up on one side and twists when you unfold it, the centre mount bolt is always coming loose. I've tried red locktite, but no success. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem with kickstands that fold up on one side (like a Pletscher).
