Haibike Sduro Problem

I have an older Haibike suduro with the yamaha motor and the LED display. When you power it up it lights up and then goes back off in about 5 seconds. The battery is fully charged so I am kind of at a loss. Would a bad connection between the computor head and the motor cause this if it couldn't sense the motor?

When you power what up? The LCD display or are you talking about the battery?

I'd suggest you download the Yamaha X94 Manual, which has a nicely detailed troubleshooting and repair section devoted to both the earlier handlebar controller with the LED lights and the later, LCD display. According to the X94 manual, should either LED or LCD display powers up and shuts off after 4 seconds, this is a battery pack signal wire issue with further details on what needs to be done to make repairs.

I have the later LCD display, which contains a watch battery that needs replacement after a couple years of service. Do not know if that LED display has a battery. For starters, this should be done if you've not replaced that battery.

Checked the motor and the wiring and that seems to be the issue. Look at the manual download and it was very helpful. Thanks
