Haibike Fullcarbon

Haibike is no stranger to selling expensive ($4,000+) ebikes. I visited Motostrano's EBIKELANE shop up in SF last weekend and they said that the expensive Haibike offroad models had been selling like hotcakes lately. I just saw in my Facebook feed that Motostrano is now taking orders for the new 2015 XDURO Fullcarbon, a carbon fiber-frame, full suspension bike, at the mighty price of $9,500:

Yes, you read that right. $9,500 for an ebike! Pretty crazy stuff! Though I imagine they'll sell quite a few of these, as electric mountain bikes are probably a ton of fun to ride off-road and put quite a grin on your face.

I rode their full suspension XDURO 29 model ($5,000, I believe) around San Francisco's hills last weekend and it was a really nice bike. I loved the hydraulic discs (my IZIP E3 Dash has weaker mechanical discs). I also really liked the shift-detection/motor-cutoff that the Bosch system has. It's kind of jarring to lose power and then have the power come on strong again like that, but obviously it's better for the cogs and the chain, but I imagine you'd get used to it if you rode one every day.

Are any of you guys ordering one of these Fullcarbons, or have any of you guys ridden their expensive downhill bikes?
