Guys who ride step through bikes...

I remember doing a project for a guy at school in grade 10 or 11.
He paid me with 6 beers that he hid under the big pine tree in my front yard so my parents wouldn't find it.

I drank all 6 in an hour or two then spent the whole night barfing.

The next day I went to a shopping mall with my brother-in-law but I just waited in the car when he went in because I felt like crap.

While I was waiting, I found a beer cap in my pocket and stupidly decided to sniff the bottle cap.
That was all it took, and I opened the door to barf again in mall parking lot. 😂
Been there.
That Southern Comfort episode went something like this...
On our way to a party me and Mikey thought it would be great to get buzzed before so we picked up a quart of wine and half pint of SC each. We drank them in the woods near the party in about an hour. Next thing I know I woke up and it was about 4 in the morning and I was covered in puke and leaves. I could see a street light off in the distance and wobbled towards it like the north star. From there I staggered home. I was in bed for a day unable to move or eat and still sick the following. Pretty lucky and thankful that I survived looking back.
Mikey said I went to take a piss and never came back. He called and looked for me but got so sick himself that he went home and pretty much ended up with the same 2 day hangover.
Good times for sure...

I love step-thru ebikes and I ride a motor scooter. The term for a motor scooter is a toilet, because it looks like your sitting on a toilet with handlebars. I could care less about people clowning my rides, I ride what works for me. Now, that strange translation from Chinese to American is Chinglish. My Genuine motor scooter has some crazy funny Chinglish in it. I'll look for the manual and post some pictures.

All you careless drinkers I feel your pain. When I was much younger a friend and I binged on brandy and tootsie rolls! Till this day both make my tummy act funny! I also can no longer handle even the smell of Vodka or Mad Dog 50/50.

Many people are slightly Insulted by the nomenclature on the side of my top case bag, sometimes I don't think these Chinese manufacturers know what might be insulting in other societies. I found a car badge made of thin aluminum with stars and stripes on it and I used some vehicle emblem glue to apply it to the Bag to cover up that "unusual" word.

Secondly, as part of my overkill of bling on my step through bike, I've added some red valve cover caps, and red accented hand grips. I'm trying to make this bike look more masculine as a few people said "hey nice bike does it come in a men's style?"🫤
Wow, people feel insulted by a nonsense brand name on your top bag? I don't think that's insulting and would just ignore it. Those people you talked to about that are too overly sensitive. I would have not covered it up. It's very mild compared to what's out there.

How would they like these?

@Stefan Mikes That would add some masculinity to your bike.

I have heard older fuds than me (not sure i'm allowed to call myself that, but I can only ride upright due to shoulder and spine surgeries) voice their regrets about getting a "male" bike so as to avoid ridicule. Not sure if it's just a marketing thing, but my bike is actually refereed to as a "male" step through. Either way, glad I went with a step though. It took me a few times to erase the muscle memory of dismounting a "male" bike despite the fact I was dismounting a step through. I imagine it looked pretty funny. No guys, bad back, bad anything and you will learn the joys of the step through. I don't think I'll ever have anything but, going forward.

Living in the land of rednecks driving around with tiny plastic truck nuts, May I say emphatically, these are the only truck nuts anyone should see:

For me, it largely depends on how far I can comfortably lean the bike toward me to swing a leg over.

At 3,000 mi in, still glad I got the step-thru on my 70 lb commuter with its high center of mass (CM) and standard size trunk bag to clear. At 76, couldn't care less what people think.

But no problem mounting my 38 lb low-CM high-step fitness ebike with nothing to snag on back.

Can't say that the commuter's ever shown me a clear sign of frame flexure, and it's done its share of bumpy surfaces. But I read somewhere that high-speed wobble can be a sign, and the commuter definitely has a very mild case of that when I let go of the bars.

Never tried the step-thru version of the fitness bike, but my high-step has such beautifully precise and nimble handling that I wouldn't want to mess with that highly optimized frame design. No wobble ever.

My first ebike is a step through but it looks so ridiculous with the windshield and backwards handlebars that no one notices that it's a girl,..

My new e-bike is a boy-bike but it also looks ridiculous, so no one notices that it's a boy,..

I have to stand on my toes to clear the battery when I stand over the e-bike.

I've slipped off the seat a couple times and landed on my jewels.
Not hard enough to send me into the fetal position but that may happen yet?

I wonder why girls get the boy bike frame and boys get the girl bike frame?

Sure a girl is gonna get hurt if she gets kicked in the crotch, but it's nothing like a kick in the jewels for a guy.

Women like to say that men have no idea how much it hurts to give birth.
I think that we have a pretty good idea what intense pain feels like?
That first bike looks slick, don't know what you're talking about? I'm putting one of those tiny wind shields and hand guards on a new gas build.

This is what it looked like before I put the windshield on,..

It looks a lot less ridiculous with the windshield. 😂

I found that the windshield didn't do anything unless I ducked down behind it, but it's only there to cover up the front end anyway. 😂

Here is the thing, I have to put comfort before looks on my gas build, it won't be a bike, but a moped when I'm done with it. May look corny as hell to some, but if it stops wind, rain, gravel and bugs from hitting my face at 30 to 40 mph, yup, I'm putting one on. Ask any guy who rides a motorcycle, yeah, windshields rarely add to the looks of any bike, but there is a reason you see them on a majority of motorcycles. You can drive 70 and it feels like you're going 40 and no bugs or gravel in the face. Don't get me started on cold weather. For what it's worth, I still think the windshield looks cool on your bike, but is it functional?

Yeah I like it. It doesn't look too bad at all.
But no, it really isn't functional for me. I sit up perfectly straight when I ride, and the windshield would have to be about a foot higher to keep anything out of my face.

Actually it's meant for a motorcycle and is available in flat black, so you're not supposed to be looking through them anyway.
There's other windshields available that are taller, but apparently they are really thin and flop around in the wind when you ride.

Maybe it's the pink pedals? Other than that, the bike looks plenty manly to me.
