If you're reading this post and thinking, "hey, didn't I read this already?!" well... you probably did! I originally created this posting early this morning. Unfortunately, it's been a particularly adventurous day on the server side of things, and some data was lost in the process. We've effectively rewound the clock back to Wednesday the 15th around mid-day. The forum has been offline or in maintenance mode for most of that duration, but if you had managed to post anything in that time frame, that content was lost. I'm sorry about that, it should not have happened and I am already working on better backup measures to make sure it doesn't happen in the future.
Anyways, my name is Tyson, and I'm the newly-appointed technical lead for EBR. If you've been on the forums or the main site lately, then you've certainly noticed that we've been in "maintenance mode" as well as simply offline for a good chunk of this week. There have also been ongoing issues for the past few months, such as slow loading of the main site in Safari. Court and I are working hard to address these issues - just this week, we've been working around-the-clock since Tuesday to get EBR migrated to a new dedicated server and get everything working right. The site and forum are running in a "trimmed down" mode right now, with a lot of widgets and features disabled. Don't worry, they'll be back soon - but the reviews and the community are the core of EBR, so those are the priority right now. In the coming days, we'll be working to bring various features back online, including the Partner Dashboard for those of you who are shop partners!
This is the start of an exciting new chapter for EBR. Court and I have a lot of plans for improving and optimizing the site, and adding new features... but I should warn you, it will probably be a bumpy ride for the next week or so! I'm going to do my best to keep the main site and the forums up and stable, and to quickly respond if there are any problems.
