hi there forum: I'm a newbie with a pre-ordered for May for an Lectric XP and can't wait to receive it and seeking advices from this community. I'm somewhat considered as disability with a severe L-knee arthritis that make my daily walk impossible nowadays, therefore we are hoping getting in an ebike would allow me to get out again.
Thanks for having me and will keep reading for more info.

Welcome, and congrats on your new e-bike purchase. That XP looks like quite a bike and 28 mph pedal assist can get very addicting!

That's the great thing about e-bikes - low impact exercise which gets us out again. Enjoy - its almost May, right! ;)

Thanks TMH for your nice welcome!
I just got an email from Lectric informing us, the pre-May bunch, that we would receive our bikes by the END of MAY. So we're counting our days now. Can't wait.

David,

Seems like everything new is being delayed to some extent. Not only were the factories shut down for a while, this pandemic has also significantly impacted the transportation infrastructure.

I have watched a bike I pre-ordered in early Feb go from a May to a July delivery date, and I'm even wondering about that. But fortunately it is just a play bike for my wife, and we have our other e-bikes in hand so we can still ride every day.

So many folks are watching the pre-order delivery dates push out, and haven't yet pulled the trigger. Unfortunately for them, initial incoming shipments of bikes are selling out, so pre-orders placed now or in the future may have to wait for future build lots. But you have gotten your order in - and that was really a smart thing to do. I know that the end of May can't come soon enough, but ultimately you will have that big e-bike smile on your face!

Thanks so much for your insight! I now “downgraded” my expectations to end-June instead! Hopefully our So. Cal. beaches will be opened fully by then so we can ride our ebikes.
Have a great weekend TMH!
