New bike commuter and now I'm looking into e-bikes. Experiencing the existential crisis of having so many choices in brands, styles, accessories, etc.
I'm also contemplating the late fall and winter weather.

Boston probably has lots of options for rental and demo, so take advantage and try different brands and styles. When I lived in the Boston area (Somerville near Powderhouse Square) I commuted by bike year-round EXCEPT for January and February, and just got a T pass for those months. When I moved to Colorado I became a true year-round commuter!

Pedego Bikes had an exclusive shop in Belmont Square but the owner has moved and closed up, but you can find a number of LBS which now carry a variety of electric bikes. Check out Landry Bikes on Comm Ave in which you can test ride some ...though I recommend not on Comm Ave itself! Also Belmont Wheelworks has a few locations in Somerville and Cambridge. Ferris Wheel bike shop in JP carries the Faraday.
