Well I hope I’m doing this correctly. I’m 70 years old, retired and just had heart surgery. While at the VA hospital, the therapist told me that I should get an ebike for exercise. Well, when I got home I found my sister had sent me an electric bike. it’s a Vivi 26” foldable. It went together well but The only problem I have is not being able to use the twist throttle. The instructions in the user’s manual say to push the on button and turn the throttle at the same time. The instructions are very should I say “less than desirable“. I tried calling the factory but haven’t had much success. Any and all help is appreciated.

Yes, that is the model. And yes, the battery is charged…. (52vdc) The pedal assist does work and it does a darn good job. The motor also engages when the (- ) button is pushed, without very much power I’ll have to say but still no throttle response. The motor cuts off when the brakes are applied so I’ve ruled out brake switch. I replaced the original monitor (on off switch) with an updated one supplied by the manufacturer. I even tried the original switch and no change. I checked all of the connections except inside the control box. That’s next. I have extensive experience in automotive electronic computer control. I say that to say you can’t get too technical. Is the throttle a potentiometer? Thanks for the reply. Wire diagram would be great.

Well guys, the problem with the bike was a broken wire in the throttle. Replaced, tested and all is well.
