Got my 15yo son the Wired predator. Did i make a mistake?

So you purchased a dirt bike originally and never had time to take him out on it. I can see that. Then you replaced it with a ebike that was totally overkill. I can see that as well. If it was me I would have split the difference and gotten him a Honda Ruckus or Yamaha Zuma. Not sure about your local areas minimum age for moped operation, and/or what it entails, but he could learn the rules of the road and you could "borrow" it when needed to do beer runs and such. I've only ever seen a Wired once in the wild and it was beat-up and huge, looked like it was crashed a few times. Also looked kinda cheap up close. I know cheap, I was on RadRunner 2 when I saw it.
I say test him with the Wired. Good way to see how he handles the responsibility and temptation to unlock it! Also 100% ensure he wears a helmet. Kids hate helmets, young adults accept them and wear them.

Yes, what it does is paints all electric bikes with the same crappy junk outlaw danger brush. That is not a bike. That is a Venn Diagram with zero overlap with bicycles and electric bicycles. It is putting a turd in the communal soup pot that spoils the whole thing. It also exploits the good will and favor of bicycles. It is an outlaw motorcycle that has pedals as an exploitive deception.

I am very much into cooperative collaboration in creating community. Maybe somewhat off topic, for the last couple of days I have been going analog and it is lots of fun. With a really good bike that is perfectly true and tuned it is as fast as my Vado. There is no filter. It is like skinny dipping. Liberating. It was shifting up fine but down it jumped cogs. The DAG took care of that on the horizontal. There is nothing like a totally dialed bike. And so very different than the redneck Bevis and Butthead 9,000W approach.

Did you mean"natural"( consider the Trumpsters) I can grok it both ways,get on a construction gang and you will hear things that would make a "Brownshirter" proud,of course nuetrals would mean society at large doesn't give a hoot. OTH ,hell no! don't give that kid the means to kill himself or others as Pedaluma sez that thing is fast enough to tenderize that boy,wont be no bruising,just cruising in the back of a black limousine covered up with pretty flowers , OTH is that joker just yanking our collective chains? Maybe. First, I don't do politics on bike forums. I've been pretty clear about that. Second, I meant that there is a lot of conflict and disagreement everywhere in the world, for whatever reasons. Resistance to other's opinions or policies seems to be the knee-jerk reaction to every little thing. It's ridiculous. There's very little understanding of other people's perspectives. Everyone has to be put in a box defined by their beliefs, and if they do not even understand your perspective, you are the devil and must be exorcised. It's a stupid way to live.

yes,lately there has been a group of People that never discuss politics,honest accept you for who you are, the ,Mennonites.I try to understand people while being aware of basic drives and motivations(I am them) taken in that context i wish to avoid interaction a lot of times,one thing that surprises me is how well people react to my daughters( She is either Bohemian or Neo hippy) friendly outragously condescending behavior she calls everyone honey and seemingly means it.I guess the old axiom is true " you can catch more flies with sugar than vinegar" I avoid young cockerels and young girls,having dated young woman I now try to avoid,the same goes for trying to break into a young persons clique.I wish no one harm( or critters either) what I learned is you do not have the young ones ear,they have to learn on their own,And performance does not beat nepotism.
