the outdoors is a shared space for the most part. i’m not the type to make comments to strangers about their buying choices as that can come across super arrogant and socially intrusive. i keep to myself. if someone does this to me i’d like to think i’d ignore it most of the time rather than engaging. Not my job to convince anyone of anything.

Though now you do give me the idea of just saying “that’s not only arrogant but also socially intrusive”. They’d be completely baffled at the accurate description of the situation.
