Kind of interesting story.
I decided I'd like to get a Dash, but they were a bit out of my price range. Then @Kaldeem pointed out in a different thread that places were selling them at discounts right now. So now they looked a lot more affordable.
But I wanted to test ride one first. I live in Indiana and I could not find a single Izip dealer in the whole state. I contacted every bike shop I could find.
I'd resigned myself to having to try and go to Chicago some day (it's a bit of a haul from here), and test ride one there.
I contacted all the dealers who carried Izips in the Chicagoland area and found a few who still had a couple Dashes in stock, but I didn't think I could get out there before they'd sold them. (they were all marked down substantially to make way for the new 2015's coming in.)
Fortunately @Shea N Encinitas encouraged me to not give up. So I decided to send an email to the president at Currie since he'd posted his email here. I told him my dilemma, and wow, he emailed me right back! He said he'd look into it and then emailed me later putting me in touch with their Midwest Territory Manager, David.
David said he was looking for an excuse to show their bikes to a local dealer near me and said he'd pick up a couple of the bikes I'd found in Chicago and bring them to the Indiana dealer and let me test ride them the next day (which was today). He also said they'd sell me the bike for the lowest price I'd been quoted.
I rode the medium size, loved it, bought it and brought it home today. Now that's some pretty dang cool customer service. Between the price and distance I'd about given up.
