Gocycle G3 real life performance?

Hi there,

for quite some time I plan to buy a pedelec for commuting around 30 km but really can't decide between two awesome bikes.

The first one is the Gocycle G3. I like the design, the lightweight(!) and the technical innovation a lot on this bike.
Because the drivedrain is enclosed there should be very little maintanace to do and it is easy to transport in trains an small cars if needed.
My only concern is the limited range (300 wh) and the small front wheel motor.
So I thought that someone who already owns a Gocycle G3 could share his experiences about real life performance.
I have read quite a lot reviews but no one seems to measure the real life range of this bike. Intead there is always the 80 km mentioned from the datasheet which is the best case scenario with very little assistance.
In addition I am wondering whether the little front hub motor performce compared to other bikes with a front hub motor.

Thanks for your help!

@Benjamin, welcome to the EBR family! Have you looked at the threads on the Gocycle Forum? There are a couple of discussions which will give you a bit to think about and may have some info about range. You could also post this question in the Gocycle Forum. Take the heated comments of some members with a fat grain of salt; sometimes people have a challenging experience with a bike and those can seem to overshadow many good experiences.

BTW, what is the other ebike you're interested in??? :)

@Ann M thank you very much for your help. The discussion is quite interesting on the Gocycle Forum!
The other ebike I am interested in is the Coboc One Rome :)

Although it is quite different concept compared to the gocycle it fits my needs in a similar way.
1. Because of singlespeed design maintance should also be very low
2. Nice simple design with a battery that is integrated in to the frame
3. Low weight!
4. Easy to use with only one button (power on/off). No distraction and it just works

Price is nearly the same so it is a though choice. Had the opportunity to testride the coboc a few weeks ago and it rides absolutly fantastic! The rear wheel drive makes it very agile and fast!
There is a speed kit available which disables the limit of 25 km/h if you want.

So the differnces are:
Drivetrain: gocycle front wheel drive vs coboc rear wheel drive --> coboc wins
weight: nearly the same
battery: gocycle 300 wh vs coboc 350 wh --> coboc wins
portabiltiy: Gocycle wins (because of its folding mechanics and enclosed drivetrain)
flexabiltiy: both can be used as normal bikes which is important for me. Gocycle wins because of its 3 gears so i think its more fun going up hills when using it as a normal bike.

what do you guys/girls think?

Hi i have both G2 & G3 both of which have top speed of 43+km on 500watt, many small hills l Get range of around 25km - 30km or top speed of 26 miles, range 20 miles.
