Giant Trance E+ Ride Control

Hi I have been trying to find out what this means but not having any success. The ride controller on my trance has 5 lights for the battery level on pictures they seem to be all white. On mine the lowest led is always orange what does this mean I don't have any other coloured lights all the rest are white. I did read somewhere that the last light turns orange when the battery is less than 10% but the battery is fully charged and everything is working fine. I tried a different battery still the same. I would just like to know if it's normal for a Giant Trance E+ 2020.
Any advice would be much appreciated thanks.

It is not normal. All LEDs should be white with the fully charged battery. However... Does your Trance work OK? If so, don't worry, just enjoy your rides!

David: Orange LED #1 might indicate battery issues. I think you might remove the battery and clean the connectors in the bike and in the battery with a contact cleaner. Users report the issue is known but if that doesn't prevent the Trance from operation, just ignore it.

Yeah that's the thing it's all working perfect that's what I don't get tried a different battery of a friend and it was the same so the battery is good. It's more than likely just the Ride Controller . Thanks

It's all working fine I tried cleaning connection just the same tried different battery just the same must be controller I guess.

hmm if every thing is working right then it could be just be a bad light. You've checked with Giant?? Giant does use color changes to indicate a problem like on my 2020 Stance e2. I forgot to switch the magnet to my new wheels and it turned one light red in the middle. I haven't heard anything but maybe that's something they did on some controllers to draw attention to it when the battery level gets down to the one light but I doubt it.

What is interesting, error codes are displayed in red (not orange) on the RideControl ONE.

Yeah I thought that error codes are a red led followed by an other white indicating what the fault is. I did ring Giant but the person on the phone has never heard of that this before. He suggested taking it into a dealer for diagnostics. I don't understand why it's not written down somewhere just what the orange led means.

As you are aware David, the orange LED #1 is to indicate the low battery status. Don't worry. If it ain't broken, don't fix it :)

Speaking of controller it would be nice to be able to update to the new controller Giant has that wraps around the handle bars like a ring. A simple controller but looks a bit more bomb proof. They also have one like Specialize in frame on some new models. I have no problem with the way ares function just the mount it self can get broken to easy. I got 2 of them that the mounts broken but the controller is A ok
