I hope your unused batteries are not degraded. Would it not make sense to use all five in a rotation?

I checked this with the manufacturer who recommends proper long term storage at room temperature with a 40% charge rather than rotational use.

While the spare batteries are losing some capacity over time, it isn't as much as the three I'm using now.
