Garmin cadence sensor 2

I found that I cannot mount the garmin cadence sensor to either crank arms on my Orbea Road Gain M20i. I tried to mount on outside but my shoe hit it. are there other place to mount

I won't work on the inside ? should be room. I had one it connected to two different gamins but never showed anything. it would take like 1.5 minutes to connect after I started riding.
